Spurs have announced this morning the signing of midfielder Mateus Fernandes for a current club record fee of £85 million from West Ham. This is a very good signing for Spurs as Mateus Fernandes showed his quality last season with the hammers during their relegation fight.
He will be a very strong addition to Tottenham’s midfield especially alongside their next signing that is all but confirmed with Spurs reaching an agreement with Newcastle for Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali for a £100 million fee, that composes of a £92.5 million-pound immediate fee and £7.5 million in add ons. So, Fernandes will not be their record signing for very long. These two will be fantastic in the centre of the park for Spurs next season as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming 26/27 campaign.
