Last night Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, this is the first time in 25 years an Englishman has won the prestigious award since Micheal Owen won in 2001.
Kane’s victory last night in London came after an outstanding 25/26 season with FC Bayern Munich where he scored 64 goals and assisted 8. Also winning the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich alongside the DFB Polka trophy.
He praised the support of his family, friends and former coaches and fans of clubs he’s played for stating he wouldn’t be where he is today without them.
Kylian Mbappe came second and Lamine Yamal third in what was described as one of the tightest Ballon d’Or races for a long time.
